Dr Deanne Choi
Dr Choi graduated from the University of New South Wales in 2006 with BSc (Medicine) and MBBS. She obtained the Diploma in Child’s Health through the Children’s Hospital at Westmead, whilst undergoing full time work as an intern. She further studied to obtain the Diploma in Practical Dermatology remotely through the Cardiff University, UK, during her residency years.

Subsequently, Dr Choi worked as a dermatology clinical and research fellow at the Royal Price Alfred Hospital for 3 years prior to her commencement of her dermatology specialist training, which encompassed all domains of medical and surgical dermatology. The training involved rotations through the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Liverpool Hospital, Westmead Hospital, Children’s Hospital at Westmead, Skin Hospital, St Vincent’s Hospital, as well as rural rotations to Dubbo, Port Macquarie, Griffith, Albury, and Lismore.
Dr Choi has also conducted a trial in psoriasis patients on biologics therapy with prospective monitoring of their pigmented lesions, with a research thesis which led to the award of a Master’s degree from the Sydney University.
Dr Choi is a Fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatologists, and a Member of the Australasian Society of Cosmetic and Procedural Dermatologists. She has a special interest in management of skin cancers and inflammatory skin disorders including eczema, psoriasis and acne.
