Dr Caroline Thoo undertook her medical training at the University of Sydney and graduated in 1996. She completed several years of residency in teaching hospitals around Sydney before undertaking research at the Westmead Institute of Cancer Research, a part of Westmead Millennium Institute. Here she spent several years investigating for a familial aggregation of Non-Melanoma Skin Cancer.

Subsequent to this, Dr Thoo took up the position of Research Fellow at the Skin and Cancer Foundation. During this time, she was principally involved in supervising clinical trials. She then completed specialist training in dermatology and qualified as a Fellow in 2009.

She completed her dermatology training at Royal Prince Alfred, St Vincent’s, Newcastle Hospital, Westmead, and currently practices at Sutherland Shire Dermatology and Nepean Dermatology.
