PDT is a treatment option where a photosensitising cream is applied to the site of your skin cancer and the light is shone on that area. The light interacts with the photosensitising chemical of the cream and destroys the cancerous cells. This procedure is repeated 7-14 days after the original procedure. The cure rate is more than 90% for early skin cancer with a good cosmetic outcome.
