Types of Skin Cancer

Skin cancer is a disease of the body’s skin cells often caused by ultraviolet radiation from the sun. It is the most common form of Cancer in Australia, but is often treatable if detected early.

Sun Spots (Actinic / Solar Keratosis)

Commonly referred to as a Sun Spots or Age Spots, Actinic Keratoses or Solar Keratoses are pre-cancerous skin conditions.

Squamous Cell Carcinoma

Squamous Cell Carcinoma (SCC) is the second most common form of skin cancer.

Basal Cell Carinoma

Basal Cell Carcinoma (BCC) is the most common form of skin cancer.

Bowen’s Disease

Bowen’s Disease is a superficial non-invasive form of Squamous Cell Carcinoma (SCC).

Melanoma

Melanoma is a less common form of skin cancer, but one of the most dangerous.
